The official price of this model is approximately 105,000 RMB, but it’s challenging to secure one at that price unless you’re a VIP or purchase from the secondary market. A while ago, the secondary market price hovered around 120,000 RMB, but recent demand has driven it up to around 160,000 RMB—nearly a 100% premium.

There is no radiation pattern, and the three-dimensional effect is quite pronounced. The size and color are perfectly balanced, giving it a very attractive look.

When adjusting the time, there’s an extra empty position for the date, and you’ll need to pull the crown out to two positions to set the time. This version differs slightly from the original, as it retains the empty position, although the movement is the same, and both versions use the same calendar mechanism. The bezel produces a louder sound when rotated, which is a bit different from the original, but it doesn’t impact wearability. The outer ring and the crystal are crafted from sapphire. The molding process is complex and has a low yield rate, as it requires shaping a single piece of sapphire onto the ceramic ring. This process is much more challenging, but the result is identical to the original.

At the 6 o’clock position, there is a “no radiation” symbol. This indicates that the luminous paint used in that era didn’t require light absorption like ordinary luminous paint to glow and had a longer-lasting effect. The luminous powder at that time contained radioactive radium, which was discovered by Marie Curie in her laboratory. As many are aware, this radium-laced paint posed significant health risks due to its radiation. As a result, it was phased out, and watches no longer used this dangerous material. In response to growing public concern, Blancpain marked its dials with this “no radiation” sign to assure customers that their luminous paint was free of radium.

With the advancement of technology, modern luminous materials no longer contain radium. Currently, the Hangzhou 7-series movement is the closest match to the original plywood movement.

The engraving on the back of the movement is quite well done. The balance wheel is similar to the original, though the gear in the original can move, while this one uses a plywood movement purely for decoration. The movement is the same as the ZF factory’s model. The rotor style on the movement closely resembles the original, but there may be slight color differences. The overall structural similarity is over 80%, and unless you compare them side by side, most people wouldn’t notice the differences. It’s a good choice for those looking for a more affordable option without sacrificing too much detail.

The rubber strap features a diamond pattern, identical to the original design.
